Chinese Academy of Cleveland

The Chinese Academy of Cleveland is a non-profit organization. The organization offers regular courses of Chinese studies for adults and children from non-Chinese speaking families. The organization provides beginners with fundamental Chinese literacy skills. Chinese culture exploration is also incorporated in the curriculum. In addition, a variety of specialized programs are available, including folk dance, arts and crafts, calligraphy, and aerobics. NO PREVIOUS CHINESE SKILLS ARE REQUIRED.

The organization offers Fall/Spring semesters on Saturdays for adults and children. Language and culture classes are offered from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Special programs for adults are from 11:10 am to 12:00 pm. Special programs for children are from 12:10 pm to 1:00 pm. The classes are held at Shaker Heights Middle School, 20600 Shaker Blvd. Shaker Heights, OH 44122. The Chinese Academy of Cleveland will start classes for the 2008 Fall Semester on Saturday, September 6, 2008. The classes will be held at Shaker Heights Middle School, located at 20600 Shaker Blvd., Shaker Heights., 44122. For mail registration, please send in registration form by August 23, 2008 to waive registration fee. In-person registration will be available during the kick-off picnic on August 23, 2008.

Kick off Picnic: 08/23/08. Its Picnic Time!!!
To kick-off the 2008-2009 School Year, we will have a picnic outing from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM on August 23, 2008 at Highland Heights Community Park off Wilson Mills Rd. (Between Brainard Rd and I-271) (see enclosed map for direction). Its great opportunities to re-acquaint with your classmates, teachers, fellow parents and friends. Activities include: play ground, tennis and more. Come and join everyone to have a late summer fun. Hot dogs, hamburgers, munchies, and drinks will be provided. You are welcome to bring salad, fruit, veggies, or desserts to share.
